Furthermore, a therapist-client relationship is not established by visiting this site nor through any online/phone based communication. A therapist-client relationship is only created after both therapist and client sign proper paperwork, including an agreement for treatment.

Confidentiality and Contact
The primary purpose of the contact page is to establish communication between those interested in services through New Streams Counseling and Kristine Nystrom, LMHC, LPC or to interact with New Stream’s Counseling blog/informational content. This entity only collects email addresses and other contact information for express purposes of engaging with prospective clients or for distribution of newsletters or other related content. This is a voluntary service, and users may remove their email address at any time. Collected information will not be sold or otherwise disclosed to third parties without the express permission. As a Licensed Mental Health provider, New Streams Counseling and Kristine Nystrom, LMHC, LPC adhere by the code of ethics laid out by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, the Washington Department of Health, and the American Counseling Association. For more information about the various ethical codes spelled out by these various entities, please contact the individual parties and their websites.
Professional liability insurance
As required by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Washington Department of Health, New Streams Counseling and Kristine Nystrom, LMHC, LPC are covered with professional liability insurance (provided by CPH & Associates).
